Job description

Our client, a precision manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, and space programs, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain machining programs for complex, high-tolerance components. The role owns programming and process execution within an assigned manufacturing cell while supporting quality, productivity, and delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and CNC lathes
  • Take ownership of CNC programming and process execution for assigned parts and equipment
  • Recommend tooling, fixtures, and process changes to improve cycle times and part quality
  • Collaborate with machinists, operators, engineering, and quality personnel
  • Support new product introduction and repeat production
  • Ensure programs meet drawing, specification, and GD&T requirements
  • Maintain setup documentation, work instructions, and program revisions
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures

Requirements

  • At least five years of CNC programming experience with mills and/or lathes
  • Experience with multi-axis machining
  • Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
