Job description

Software Engineer

Location - Herndon, VA

The selected candidate will formulate/define specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modify/maintain complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Design, code, test, debug, and document those programs. Provide overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages. Assist all phases of software systems programming applications. Evaluate new and existing software products.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Accepting all levels of experience (will accept experience with java as an equivalent)
  • Must possess dod top secret level clearance (Cinteot will sponsor upgrade to SCI and CI Poly)
  • Comptia Security+ certification or equivalent iat-ii level certification (must have within 6 months of start date)
  • Experience with ms sql server (2008 required, 2012 desired).
  • Knowledge of css, javascript, and jquery is a plus.
  • Experience using t-sql with the ability to write sql queries and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of client-side technologies such as javascript, jquery, html5 and css.
  • Knowledge of .net framework and ability to work with c#, asp.net, wcf, mvc and ado.net.
  • Experience with Microsoft visual studio and sql server management studio.
  • Experience using team foundation server for source control and build management a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following: Object Oriented Programming (OOP) using Java, C#, or C++
