Job description

We are looking for people interested in learning and developing their careers in light, wood finishing manufacturing company for our client located in Surrey.

This is a permanent full-time position with a company that was founded in 1971 and just recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Our client provides Western Canada with high-quality semi custom cabinets.

The successful candidate will be trained in assembly, dovetail fabrication, cabinet making and paint finishing. Our client provides Western Canada with high-quality semi custom cabinets.

You will:

  • Read and understand work orders and other production paperwork
  • Daily preventive maintenance of tool, work area, and equipment
  • Understand the metric system
  • Lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Produce daily expectations to keep production flow
  • Learn other aspect of manufacturing
  • Coordinate and communicate with coworkers, team leaders and other departments
  • Positive can-do, team attitude
  • Finishing department includes loading/unloading parts on finishing line, sanding MDF primer doors and solid wood doors in preparation for stain
  • Fabrication department includes dovetail and operating machines such as panel and chop saw
  • Assembly department includes assembling prefabricated parts on an assembly line, or at work benches using screw guns, staple guns, operating clamp machine, and other hand tools to assemble and secure parts
  • Opportunities to perform other duties as delegated by management
