Job Summary :
Serves the needs of patients, associates, physicians, and the public through the effective and efficient maintenance of hospital, thus establishing a safe environment and properly maintained hospital to the public. Completes and documents other building maintenance activities in an effective and efficient manner.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Must demonstrate each of the Hendricks values respect, integrity, collaboration, engagement, empathy, courage, and loyalty.
2. Order and replace air filters as necessary.
3. Clean ice machines and change water filters.
4. Plunge toilets, sinks and various clogged drains, Replace/repair faucets, toilets, valves, sink and various other plumbing fixtures.
5. Service shredders, staplers, wheel chairs, carts, etc.
6. Assists maintenance technicians to perform minor maintenance functions as required.
7. Assemble carts, table, chairs, shelves and other incoming equipment.
8. Complete minor repairs to building, equipment, appliances, fixtures, furniture, etc.
9. Operates and maintains equipment in boiler room, equipment rooms, and exhaust fans throughout the hospital.
10. Maintains all logs and tests that are assigned.
11. Checks gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other equipment to insure that equipment is operating properly and efficiently.
12. Do electrical safety inspections on repaired and new equipment.
13. Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and do corrective work orders as assigned.
14. Completed documentation of assign work orders on CMMS software.
15. Reports any emergency problems to engineering management.
16. Replaces light bulbs and ballast as necessary.
17. Drives hospital vehicles on hospital campus, to satellite facilities, and to Indianapolis and surrounding area to perform job duties, deliver and pick up repair parts.
