With advanced sheetfed, web, mailing, data, fulfillment, large format, digital press capabilities - plus New England's largest bindery/finishing operation - we're proud of our history and excited about our future. Now, we're looking for skilled Folder Gluer to join our growing production team.
Folder-Gluer Machine Operator
As aFolder-Gluer Machine Operator, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality, finished products by operating and managing the folding and gluing process in our bindery department. You will integrate printed materials into folding, gluing processes, transformation of sheets/paper to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
What You'll Do
  • Set up, make-ready, operate, and monitor folder/gluer equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Adjust for different fold and glue patterns based on job specs.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure proper gluing, folding, and minimal waste/rework.
  • Conduct preventive and mechanical maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and cleaning as needed.
  • Observe machine operations, detect and identify defects, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain safety, quality, maintenance, and good manufacturing practices.
What You Bring
  • 3-5 years' experience operating a folder/gluer machine (Bobst Series experience a plus).
  • Previous press, bindery, or finishing experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of die-cutting processes, production materials, quality methods, and color standards.
  • Able to read, analyze, interpret job orders, and are proficient with measuring and hand tools.
  • Excellent vision abilities (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, color distinction).
  • Finger and hand dexterity with ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player who maintains a clean, organized workspace and uses pallet jacks safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Walking 50% | Standing 50% | Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 25-50 lbs. and more. | Ability to stand for extended periods. | Safely move materials weighing 500-750 lbs.| Using manual pallet trucks|
  • Ability to lift, move, and position materials throughout the workday and safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials.
