Summary
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate a variety of construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, loaders, and related machinery. This role supports daily construction operations while maintaining equipment, following safety standards, and working collaboratively with field crews.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including, but not limited to, excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, loaders, and graders
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
  • Coordinate machine movement with crew members using hand signals or audio communication
  • Complete required paperwork, inspection forms, and daily records
  • Comply with all job site safety policies and procedures at all times

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, scrapers, and graders
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check (as required by site/location)
  • Ability to safely operate commonly used construction tools and equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once tasks are assigned
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and ability to promote safe work practices
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain positive working relationships

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40-50 pounds frequently
