We are seeking a Logistics Management Specialist 1, to support the Logistical Support Services contract. This project will provide logistical support services for the U.S. Capitol Police. The primary place of performance shall be: 499 South Capitol St SW, Washington, D.C. 20003. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week during normal business hours (6:00 to 18:00).

So, what will the Logistics Management Specialist 1 at Terrestris do?

The Logistics Management Specialist 1 will be a position under the Logistical Support Services contract. This position will build upon foundational support and will assume greater independence in coordinating logistics activities. In this role, you will independently manage transportation logistics for equipment, supplies, and materials, ensuring timely and efficient deployment. This mid-level position requires a higher level of expertise and experience in logistics management to ensure the efficient and effective distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials to support agency operations. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What does a typical day look like for a Logistics Management Specialist 1?

You will:

Forecast demand to optimize inventory and replenishment planning.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.

Conduct market research supporting procurement decisions.

Prepare procurement requests and travel documentation.

Maintain equipment receipt, issue, and disposition records.

Coordinate transportation of equipment, supplies, and materials.

Drive Class C vehicles supporting mission requirements.

Lead inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.

Conduct logistics audits ensuring policy compliance.

Analyze logistics data and recommend operational improvements.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics management, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in logistics software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check & drug test.
