As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate, compliant loan files for underwriting approval. You'll handle various loan types, ensure deadlines are met, and help customers achieve homeownership-all while navigating the latest industry tools and regulations

Compensation: $30.00+ per hour depending on experience. 

This position is located in office at our Operation Center in West Allis, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Process loans utilizing FHA, VA, Conventional, WHEDA and other loan programs by reviewing documentation and submitting complete files for underwriting approval.
  • Prepare initial disclosures and re-disclosures (per Regulation Z) to meet all regulatory deadlines.
  • Verify supporting documents like appraisals, credit reports, income, title commitments, and flood determinations to ensure files are complete and accurate.
  • Monitor daily pipeline reports, keeping track of commitment and rate expiration dates, and promptly updating loan officers on status changes.
  • Professionally update loan officers, customers, and third-party vendors on loan status and any missing documentation.
  • Stay current on Federal and State regulations (RESPA, Regulation Z, B, HMDA, ECOA, FCRA) and ensure all files meet compliance standards.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and serve as backup for other processors as needed.
  • Accurately enter required data in HMDA/CRA reports and handle adverse action applications.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in mortgage loan processing, including experience with Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae guidelines.
  • Proficiency with mortgage processing software (MeridianLink LOS preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with customers, staff, and third parties in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with real estate lending guidelines and federal compliance requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
