Job description

Are You Ready to Make an Immediate Impact?

Babilou Family US is part of the global Babilou Family network and brings a local, community-focused approach to early childhood education through our First Chapters, Little Sprouts, Building Blocks, and Heartworks schools.

Our work is guided by our educational approach, Sustainable Education, which bridges research and daily practice to help children thrive and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. We're in what we like to call the science of children. Everything we do is rooted in research about how young minds grow-how they learn, connect, and build the skills that last a lifetime. We also lead with our HONOR values: Humility, Open-Mindedness, Nurture, Ownership, and Recognition. This guiding framework fosters an environment where educators, children, families, and partners feel valued, empowered, and inspired to grow.

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist plays a key role in driving the full-cycle recruitment process and ensuring a positive candidate/new hire experience for employee engagement outcomes. This role partners closely with hiring managers and school administrators to understand staffing needs and deliver top talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure strong partnerships with hiring managers and school leaders to effectively anticipate and understand staffing needs, provide consultation, and ensure alignment throughout the recruitment process.
  • Elevate employer brand visibility through effective recruitment marketing and community outreach.

  • Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, events, community partnerships, and networking.

  • Create, update, and manage job requisitions across all online recruiting platforms.

  • Own the critical transition from job application through the first 90 days of employment. Direct and manage relationship-building, operational excellence, and storytelling with each new hire to "close the loop" by ensuring every new hire feels confident, connected, and excited to join our team.

  • Conduct phone screens and candidate evaluations to determine qualifications, culture fit, and hiring readiness.

  • Coordinate interviews, provide candidate preparation, and ensure a professional and timely hiring experience.

  • Deliver a seamless and engaging hiring and onboarding journey that strengthens new-hire retention.

  • Work autonomously to manage requisitions, prioritize workloads, and execute multi-step hiring and onboarding processes.

  • Keep ATS records updated, maintain data accuracy, and provide recurring pipeline and performance reporting.

  • Generate meaningful talent insights and pipeline analytics to support better hiring decisions.

  • Review and analyze recruiting advertising ROI and recommend budget or strategy adjustments.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience; early childhood education or other high-volume industry strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of employment law/hiring compliance, talent sourcing methodologies and best practices in full-cycle recruiting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone presence.

  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite; Lever preferred.

  • Experience with digital recruitment marketing tools such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Ads, and Glassdoor.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Full-time, hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite (Lawrence, MA). Occasional evening or weekend hours to support candidate/new hire needs or recruiting events.

  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods; along with extensive typical computer / desk work.

  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

  • Travel nationally, mostly locally, up to 15% of the time.

We Offer
We invest in our employees' health, financial wellbeing, professional growth and family success through:
  • Up to 50% childcare tuition discount.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, effective on your first day of employment.

  • Free First Stop Health membership, providing 24/7 access to virtual primary care, urgent care, and short-term mental health support.

  • 401(k) retirement plan with annual discretionary employer match contribution.

  • Optional life insurance and short/long-term disability coverage, helping provide financial protection and peace of mind.

  • Performance-based pay, including increases tied to certification and/or degree completion.

  • Career growth and professional development opportunities, including training, mentorship, and our dedicated CHILD Conference.

  • Generous paid time off and holiday benefits, including an annual Winter Break closure between Christmas and New Year's so employees can enjoy additional time with family and friends.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offering confidential resources and support for mental health, financial wellness, work-life balance, and other personal needs.

  • Employee referral bonus program, because great people know great people! Earn bonuses for helping us build an exceptional team.

  • Additional lifestyle and fringe benefits, including tuition and professional development reimbursement, pet insurance, and other programs designed to support you and your family.
