Job description

We're looking for a full-time Lineman Apprentice to join our Bledsoe County team! This position is full-time and reports to the Pikeville, TN office.
Must live in or be willing to relocate to SVEC's Bledsoe County service area.
Requirements:
  • Must be willing to successfully complete the SVEC LAP Apprenticeship
  • Minimum high school diploma;
  • Required Class A Commercial Driver's License;
  • Must be able to handle high-stress situations;
  • Must live in the Bledsoe County service area or be willing to relocate to the service area

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires occasional travel across SVEC area, rare travel outside SVEC area. Some after-hours work is required due to occasional planned events, storm-related events, or emergency events. Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) is a member-owned distribution cooperative that delivers power generated by the Tennessee Valley Authority. Located in a growing area, SVEC currently serves 37,000 meters, primarily in four counties in southeast Tennessee: Marion, Sequatchie, Grundy and Bledsoe.
