Job description

Lighthouse Program | Racker at TST BOCES
Ithaca, NY
Full-Time | 10-Month School Calendar (with additional summer opportunities available)

Help students rediscover success.

Do you believe that every student deserves another chance to thrive?

The Lighthouse Program is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and clinically skilled mental health professional to join our innovative school-based team. This is more than a traditional school social work position—it's an opportunity to help students rebuild confidence, develop coping skills, reconnect with learning, and successfully transition back to their home schools.

Working alongside educators, families, and community partners, you'll provide therapeutic support within a highly collaborative, trauma-informed environment where relationships come first.

If you enjoy creative problem-solving, meaningful clinical work, and being part of a team that genuinely supports one another, we'd love to meet you.

About Lighthouse

The Lighthouse Program is a therapeutic educational partnership between Racker and TST BOCES serving middle and high school students experiencing significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Students attend Lighthouse temporarily while developing the skills, confidence, and supports needed to successfully transition back to their home school.

Our approach combines mental health treatment, education, family partnership, and individualized planning to create lasting success.

Why Join Racker?

At Racker, you'll become part of an organization committed to empowering people and building stronger communities. We believe exceptional care begins with exceptional teams.

We offer:

  • Supportive clinical supervision and professional mentorship
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment
  • Meaningful relationships with students and families
  • Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education
  • School calendar schedule that supports work-life balance
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits

Schedule/Salary

  • Full-Time
  • School-Year (10 1/2-Month Position)
  • Salary Range: $53,000 - $63,000

Every student deserves someone who believes in their potential.

If you're passionate about helping young people overcome barriers, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with school, we encourage you to apply.

Together, we help students find their way forward.
