Job description

Description:

Oak Grove Technologies, LLC, a dynamic and fast-growing federal contractor, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Language Instructor to support full-service language immersion programs in South Korea. Instructors will deliver high-quality classroom instruction and facilitate cultural immersion experiences for small student cohorts (5–10 participants). This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about teaching, cross-cultural exchange, and experiential learning in immersive environments.

* This position is contingent upon contract award. Qualified candidates will be placed in a candidate pool and contacted if and when the contract is awarded. *

Oak Grove Technologies is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business based in Raleigh, NC, with a Test and Training Center located near Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall. With over 20 years of expertise in training, consulting, technology, and operational support, the company provides services to the military, government, and law enforcement. Committed to excellence, innovation, and national security, Oak Grove Technologies fulfills federal defense contracts and actively supports veterans through sponsorships and events. Driven by its mission-focused approach, the company seeks top talent to develop impactful solutions.

Oak Grove Technologies offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured and engaging language instruction tailored to the cohort’s proficiency level.
  • Incorporate cultural topics and real-world scenarios into daily lesson plans.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to support full cultural immersion, including local customs, history, and practical language use.
  • Escort and support students during organized field trips and cultural activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and immersive learning environment throughout the program duration.

Qualifications:

  • Native proficiency in target language. (Korean)
  • Experience living or teaching in the host country (South Korea) is highly desirable.
  • Candidates who are currently living in the target country or have previously lived there as a native are highly preferred. Preference will be given to those who are actively teaching English within that country, as this experience supports cultural fluency and practical understanding of the local language learning environment.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Minimum of 2 years of language teaching experience, preferably in immersion or experiential learning settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Language Education, Linguistics, Cultural Studies, or a related field is preferred; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to manage small-group instruction and foster collaborative learning environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Schedule and Duration:

  • Full-time commitment during program sessions (exact duration may vary by location and cohort).
  • Must be available for travel and stay on-site for the entire immersion experience.

Program Components Provided by Contractor (for Instructor Coordination):

  • Classroom instruction facilities.
  • Secure lodging.
  • Transportation (including to/from instruction sites and excursions).
  • Daily meals.
  • At least one organized field trip during the program.

If you are a highly motivated Language Instructor and ready to apply your expertise in a high-impact role, we encourage you to join our mission.
