Responsibilities
Effective Date: 05/26
I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Performs a variety of duties to maintain the grounds, including gardening and landscaping, and exterior hardscape of The Queen's Medical Center - Kahi Mohala.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Finger dexterity.
B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:
• Infrequent: Lift waist to overhead between 0-5 lbs. Carry between 0-5 lbs.
• Occasional: Lift waist to shoulder between 0-5 lbs. Push and Pull between 6-10 lbs.
• Frequent: Lift floor to waist between 0-5 lbs.
• Constant: N/A
C. NON-MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:
• Infrequent: Climb: Stairs/Ladder. Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head. Gripping.
• Occasional: Sit. Squat.
• Frequent: Stand. Walk. Stoop/Bend. Kneel. Twist. Crawl.
• Constant: N/A
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Exposed to extreme conditions of outdoor environment. Subjected to vibration and dust from gardening equipment. Controlled exposure to agricultural chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides). Works on roofs. Works in articulating lift or forklift basket.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• No diploma and/or degree requirement.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• No certification and/or licensure requirement.
C. EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience in groundskeeping required.
• Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
