Job description

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend, holiday and on-call responsibilities.
Job Purpose:

The Nurse will function as a dynamic member of the patient care team, providing education and guidance to fertility patients throughout their journey. The Registered Nurse will serve as treatment coordinator and strive to provide every individual an optimal patient experience.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

  1. Assists with coordination of care, management, and treatment of fertility patients.
  2. Implements Provider directives through management of diagnostic and clinical treatment plans.
  3. Provides care for assigned patients by applying appropriate RMA workflows, policies and clinical practice guidelines:
    • Reviews medical records and lab results. Ensure accurate data is entered into the EMR.
    • Communicates test results and patient instructions
    • Provide patient education throughout all aspects of the treatment journey. Sets appropriate expectations, educates patient/couple on testing, treatment options and RMA processes.
    • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care services in the EMR
  4. Demonstrates skills and judgment necessary to implement the plan of care. Performs nursing interventions and procedures necessary to promote the care and safety of the patient.
  5. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions and addressing concerns.
  6. Participates in the education and training of nurses. Mentors’ peers. Promotes a collaborative and productive environment both intra-departmentally as well as inter-departmentally.
  7. Assists provider with in-office procedures, as needed.

Academic Training:

  • Active RN license without limitations - required
  • Studies level: License
  • Studies area: Nursing
  • BSN Degree—highly preferred
  • Studies level: University Education (bachelor’s degree)
  • Studies area: Nursing
  • BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification – preferred
  • Studies level: Certification
  • Studies area: BCLS/ACLS

Position Requirements/Experience:

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed - required
  • 2+ years practical experience working as a nurse – required
  • Prior experience in women’s healthcare –preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
