As our Receiving Specialist, you aren't just checking boxes; you're the Architect of Inventory Integrity. Serving as the ultimate gatekeeper of our local yard, you act as our first line of defense. You ensure every piece of material is 100% verified, pristine, and accounted for before it hits the floor. We're looking for a precision-driven professional to fuel our fulfillment engine with unmatched speed and accountability.
Balance In Action:
This position offers a unique, alternating schedule designed for work-life balance:
  • Hours: 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM
  • Week 1: Monday - Thursday (4-day weekend)
  • Week 2: Tuesday - Friday (2-day weekend)
Defining the Role :
  • Unloading & Verification: Safely unload all incoming vendor trucks, rail cars, parcel trucks, and common carriers.
  • BOL Auditing: Meticulously verify the physical product against the provided BOL.
  • ERP System Receiving: Properly and accurately receive material into Drexel's ERP system for instant visibility of inventory.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all incoming shipments for damage.
  • Quarantine Management: Quarantine and document any non-conforming or damaged product.
  • Initial Put-Away: Place received materials into designated bulk receiving or overstock locations, keeping primary picking locations clear.
  • Vendor Returns: Load return-to-vendor material that has been packaged and equipped with the necessary paperwork.
  • Transfer Logistics: Unload material from inbound transfer trucks and reload prepicked outbound transfers.

Performance is measured by your direct impact on yard velocity and inventory health:
  • Receiving Accuracy Rate: The percentage of line items received correctly.
  • Dock-to-Stock Time: How quickly material is safely received and put away into bulk storage.
  • Error Tracing: The number of total inventory discrepancies traced back to receiving errors.
