Looking for a nursing role that gives you time, trust, and true patient connection?
UPMC Home Health is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support Erie County, primarily on the western side of the county. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM position with weekend and on-call rotations.
This role offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one care in patients’ homes, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy a more sustainable pace of nursing; all with the stability, benefits, and growth opportunities of UPMC.
Assignments are based on patient need and proximity to your home, with opportunities available across multiple communities.
Why Nurses Choose UPMC Home Health
  • One patient at a time – No call lights, no constant interruptions
  • Autonomy with support – You’re trusted to practice independently, backed by a full interdisciplinary team
  • Flexible scheduling:  8- or 10-hour shifts; dedicated weekend program with premium pay and benefits
  • Sign-on bonuses available: For both new graduates and experienced RNs

  • Comprehensive UPMC benefits: Medical, retirement, tuition reimbursement, discounted RN-to-BSN programs
What You’ll Do
  • Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes throughout assigned Pittsburgh-area communities
  • Develop and manage plans of care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary partners
  • Provide patient and family education that promotes independence and recovery
  • Complete required documentation (OASIS, visit notes, orders) electronically using a provided laptop
  • Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered outcomes while maintaining regulatory standards
This Role Is a Great Fit If You:
  • Want meaningful time with patients and families
  • Are seeking flexibility without sacrificing benefits or support
  • Value autonomy, critical thinking, and relationship-based care
  • Are a new graduate looking for mentorship or an experienced RN looking for balance
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Active RN license (Pennsylvania or compact state eligibility)
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and required clearances
  • Final title and compensation are based on experience, education, and career ladder placement.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
