Responsibilities of a Body Shop Detailer entail:
  • Responsible for maintaining shop cleanliness through disposing of trash, sweeping, etc.
  • Remove and discard damaged parts from the shop
  • Operate a forklift and drive trucks in and out of the shop
  • Wash truck exterior and vacuum interior of vehicles, upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces
  • Wash engines and engine compartments with steam-cleaning equipment
  • Visually inspect trucks after processing for defects
  • Document all relevant information on repairs
  • Manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned
