Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Software Engineer to join our MCP (Model Context Protocol) Engineering Team. This role will focus on designing, developing, testing, and supporting MCP servers and integrations that enable AI agents, copilots, and enterprise applications to securely interact with business systems, APIs, databases, and workflows.
The Software Engineer will work closely with the Technical Lead, Product Owner, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to build scalable and reusable MCP solutions that accelerate AI adoption across the organization.
This position is ideal for a developer with strong API and integration experience who is interested in modern AI technologies, agent-based architectures, and AI-assisted software development practices.

Responsibilities
Software Development
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and tools.
  • Build integrations between AI platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Develop reusable services, APIs, and libraries.
  • Create well-structured, maintainable, and secure code.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and implementation standards.

MCP Development
  • Implement MCP tools, resources, prompts, and workflows.
  • Develop connectors to:
    • REST APIs
    • SQL Server
    • Databricks
    • Snowflake
    • Internal business applications
    • Azure services
  • Assist in defining and implementing MCP best practices.
  • Support secure context delivery to AI agents.

Testing & Quality
  • Create and maintain unit tests and integration tests.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Validate MCP functionality and performance.
  • Assist QA Engineers in creating test scenarios.
  • Ensure solutions meet security and quality standards.

AI-Assisted Development
  • Utilize AI tools such as Cursor and MCP-enabled agents to improve productivity.
  • Support development of AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions.
  • Participate in experimentation with emerging AI technologies.
  • Follow organizational AI development standards and governance.

DevOps & Operations
  • Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.
  • Assist with deployments and release activities.
  • Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues.
  • Participate in production support and incident resolution.
  • Contribute to performance and reliability improvements.

Agile Team Participation
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Provide effort estimates for user stories and technical tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with technical and business teams.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and blockers effectively.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Equivalent practical experience considered.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of software development experience.
  • Experience developing APIs and application integrations.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted applications.

Technical Skills
Experience with:
  • C# and .NET
  • Python
  • REST API development
  • SQL Server
  • Git source control
  • Azure DevOps
  • Unit testing frameworks
  • CI/CD concepts

Familiarity with:
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing enterprise integrations.
