About the Role:

The Field Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of all personnel working on-site across various field locations within the United States. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. The coordinator will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to foster a culture of safety awareness and proactive hazard identification. By conducting regular site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations, the Field Safety Coordinator helps to prevent accidents and promote continuous improvement in safety practices. Ultimately, this role ensures that all field operations are conducted in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, protecting both employees and company assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within field operations or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards applicable to field work.
  • Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively train and engage field personnel on safety matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification.
  • Experience working in diverse field environments such as construction, oil and gas, or utilities.
  • Familiarity with safety management software and data analysis tools.
  • First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Response certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing safety teams or programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to field operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks to educate field personnel on best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety considerations into daily operations and project planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety activities, inspections, training, and incident reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices to continuously update safety policies and procedures.
