  • Shift and Schedule: Day shift (7AM-5PM), 8-10 hour shift depending on needs, Mon-Fri
  • Location: Bloomingdale, IL (100% on-site, in-person).

Job Summary

Our client is looking for an experienced Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our state-of-the-art injection molding facility. If you enjoy solving problems, keeping equipment running at peak performance, and working in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment, we'd love to talk with you.

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a critical part in maximizing uptime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern injection molding equipment, automation systems, and auxiliary equipment while making a direct impact on production.

As a Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and facility-related issues.
  • Diagnose equipment failures quickly and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Install, modify, and maintain injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems.
  • Support equipment upgrades, new installations, machine relocations, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and equipment vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure critical maintenance supplies are readily available.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and complies with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Injection molding presses
    • Temperature control units (oil and water)
    • Material drying systems
    • Automation and robotic equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical training, apprenticeship, or trade certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and support systems.
  • Experience coordinating outside vendors and contractors.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement methodologies.
