Senior Cyber Network Defense Specialist
We are looking for an elite Informational Technology professional to architect, manage, and defend mission-critical network systems within a specialized program environment. If you are an expert in securing complex Local Area Network (LAN) / Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure across top-level security enclaves (including System Application Products (SAP) and Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI)) and thrive on high-stakes challenges, this role is your opportuniyto lead at the highest level.
As a Senior Cyber Network Defense Specialist, you are the guardian of our most sensitive information. You will have ultimate responsibility for the integrity and security of the networked systems that transmit vital voice, data, and video communications. Operating within our specialized Cyber Section, your expertise will be the bedrock of our cyber resiliency, network defense, and vulnerability management operations, directly protecting national security assets.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Command Critical Infrastructure: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle-from planning and design to implementation and maintenance-of our secure Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN).
- Execute Elite Cybersecurity Operations: Implement and manage robust cybersecurity protocols in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) across Unclassified, Collateral, SAP, and SCI enclaves.
- Lead Network Defense Initiatives: Serve as a key leader within the Cyber Section, providing expert oversight for network defense, vulnerability management, software assurance, and advanced cyber technology programs.
- Ensure Total System Integrity: Guarantee the operational integrity and security of all networked systems, ensuring the flawless transmission of information and the robust defense of a high-stakes program office.
A seasoned and deeply technical IT Specialist with a proven track record in managing and securing classified network environments. Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of IT assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing IT projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance. Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance.
2. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for the coordinated management of IT programs to include providing oversight of multiple IT projects, integrating dependent schedules and deliverables, and related activities such as life cycle management and program governance.
3. Knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage functional and infrastructure requirements; includes translating functional requirements into technical requirements used for logical design or alternative technologies or approaches. Ability to research and analyze external products to determine their potential for meeting mission requirements and business needs.
4. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and techniques used to identify, engage, influence and monitor relationships with individuals and groups connected to IT work/development efforts. Includes those who are actively involved, those who exert influence over the process and its results, and those who have a vested interest in the outcome. Ability to work effectively with customers to assess their requirements then provide information, expertise, and assistance to satisfy those needs.
5. Knowledge of organizational mission and function and how to work effectively within its social, political, and technological systems to achieve measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Ability to determine objectives, make sound, well-informed, and objective decisions, set priorities, cause change, and accomplish organizational goals.
6. Ability to analyze complexities of existing technology, review/revise/develop policy, initiate plans for enhancements, and provide management sufficient technical and cost analysis information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments.
