We are the Video Engineering Image Quality (VEIQ) team responsible for video quality on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro products! We are seeking an outstanding Camera Video Quality Engineer who has good understanding of lab quality test automation and real world video quality verification to help us deliver the best camera video quality to the world!
Description
In this role, you'll be a critical part of a fast-paced, collaborative team and who thrive in a high energy, time-constrained, multitasking environment to significantly impact our video quality.
- Ability to use imaging lab and run objective IQ metrics
- Real world camera video quality verification
- Ability to find IQ issues, do initial analysis and triaging
- Participate in IQ evaluation for new features and algorithms, provide feedback to engineer teams
- Analyze, reproduce, isolate video quality issues from both lab and real world testing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and proficiency in coding language such as Python, C/C++
Solid video photography skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate and work cross functionally
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Experience of subjective/objective image quality evaluation
Experience of ISP pipeline and 3A evaluation
Focus on details and possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to stay on top of camera benchmark evaluation and testing result

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,600 and $263,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
