Job description

Full Time Refrigeration & Ice Machine Service Technician needed for a HVAC-R company in our Refrigeration and Preventative Maintenance Division. The primary work focus will be on Medical Ice Machines, Medical Grade Refrigeration, Medical and Commercial Ice Machine Equipment and Installations. Work includes Diagnostics, Repair, Preventative Maintenance, Cleaning and Sanitizing Services. Applicants should be able to read a wiring diagram, be mechanically adept, communicate well with others and be capable of working independently. Applicants should be able to troubleshoot electrical components & refrigeration systems, diagnose problems and make repairs. Company vehicles are provided so a clean driving record is essential. Training is provided in house, in the field and from the manufactures. Refrigeration / AC experience is required although the technician does not need experience servicing ice machines. A typical day consists of travel to customer site(s), working on their equipment, completing job reports and submitting to office for invoicing. Standard work hours are 6am to 2:30pm M-F. Overtime and Weekend Work is also available and will occasionally be mandatory.

Basic Qualifications Include:

Universal EPA 608, Type I & II for servicing appliances (Not required but preferred)

Applicants must be able to read and write to communicate in English with customers, suppliers and coworkers.

Applicants must be physically capable of performing manual duties as described above.

Applicants must be able to competently manage or perform more than 1 task or assignment at a time, be self-motivated and consistently detail oriented and accurate.

A preferred minimum of of 2-4 years (although we do have beginner positions available) technical work consisting of repairs and diagnostics experience is required. light mechanical, refrigeration and plumbing skills preferred but not required.
