Job description

Job Title: Class A CDL Driver – Medium Haul/Hotshot Driver (Construction Support)

Location: Greater Jacksonville Area, FL

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to support our construction operations throughout the greater Jacksonville area. This role involves medium-haul driving to transport small equipment, tools, and construction supplies between yards, vendors, and active job sites. Drivers are a key part of keeping projects on schedule and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit
  • Deliver materials to multiple construction sites in a timely manner
  • Assist with loading/unloading when needed
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and team members
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL (required)
  • Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
  • Subject to a pre-employment drug test
  • Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience preferred
  • Experience hauling construction materials, equipment and vehicles
  • Ability to operate with loading and unloading equipment and construction materials (loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steers, etc.)
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Work Schedule:

Monday–Friday with occasional weekends as needed
