Job description

Pay: $25–$30/hour (based on experience)
Full-time | Steady work | Room to move up

What Your Day Looks Like

You’ll start early, either meeting at the shop located in Missoula or heading directly to the jobsite. After loading materials and completing a quick safety check, the crew gets to work. You’ll apply spray foam insulation to walls, ceilings, attics, and other designated areas

You’ll be working in a variety of conditions, depending on the job site and season, with safety procedures and proper equipment in place. You’ll work until the job is done and then head home.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be part of a small crew led by an experienced foreman. Team members look out for one another, work safely, and take pride in doing the job right. If you show up on time and follow safety guidelines, you’ll feel supported and welcomed.

What you'll be doing:

  • Safely and efficiently install spray foam insulation following project specifications and industry standards
  • Prepare job sites by protecting surfaces and setting up equipment
  • Operate and maintain spray foam equipment, including spray guns, hoses, and compressors
  • Measure and mix chemicals accurately to achieve the desired foam consistency
  • Ensure proper coverage and thickness of the insulation for maximum energy efficiency and performance
  • Monitor and adjust equipment settings as needed to achieve optimal foam application
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and equipment
  • Collaborate with the project team to meet project deadlines and quality standards

What we are looking for:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience as a Spray Foam Applicator or similar role
  • Knowledge of spray foam insulation materials, equipment, and application techniques
  • Understanding of safety procedures and best practices in handling chemicals and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid driver’s license is required for tasks involving the transportation of equipment or travel between sites
  • Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., OSHA certification, spray foam applicator certification) are preferred but not mandatory

Physical demands:

As an insulation installer, you will face physical demands such as lifting heavy materials, bending and stooping in tight spaces, and climbing ladders or scaffolding for high work. You must stretch and reach overhead, handle tools with dexterity, and endure long hours of repetitive movements. The work is often performed in challenging environments, such as extreme temperatures or dusty areas. Installers also need balance and stability in confined or unstable spaces and may experience strain from pushing and pulling heavy loads or performing repetitive tasks. Strength, endurance, and flexibility are required to prevent injury. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Supplemental Insurance (Short- and Long-Term disability, hospital indemnity, accident, critical illness, supplemental life insurance)
  • Company Life Insurance
  • 401(K) (Pre-Tax and Post-Tax) Roth 401(k) with company matching
  • Longevity Stock Program
  • IBP Foundation
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Employee Financial Assistance Program
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement
