Job description

Job Title: Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant
Location: 12241 Academy Rd NE, Suite 204
Albuquerque, NM 87111
Practice: High Desert Dermatology
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced dermatology practice. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, and thrives in a high-volume clinical environment while providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories
  • Assist providers with dermatologic exams and procedures 
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and supplies
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such wound care, biopsies assistance, excisions and suture removal
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions
  • Return patient phone messages and address any concerns
  • Maintain patient flow and support efficient clinic operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
Qualifications:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA/RMA), not required if you have experience
  • Prior experience in dermatology strongly preferred (will consider motivated candidates with strong clinical background)
  • Experience using ModMed EMA preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy setting
  • Professional, positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
Schedule:

  • Full-time. Some Saturdays
  • No nights or major holidays (schedule details may vary)
