Job Summary:
The Software Engineer will design and develop software for an electromagnetic positioning system. Must be recognized as having advanced knowledge in software development. The Developer will create software as part of a project team that results in a complete surgical navigation product by formulating and developing software solutions to a wide range of complex navigation and system control problems, as well as communicating status and results.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software for an electromagnetic positioning system.
  • Must be recognized as having advanced knowledge in software development. The Developer will create software as part of a project team that results in a complete surgical navigation product by formulating and developing software solutions to a wide range of complex navigation and system control problems, as well as communicating status and results.
  • Preparation of reports and other documentation.
  • Recommend improvements.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Required: BA, BS, or Master's degree in software engineering or related field. PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience developing complete software products.
  • Solid C / C# or similar programming experience.
  • Five years - Software development, troubleshooting, documentation, and testing experience in a regulated industry, medical device preferred.
  • Experience with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
