Job description

Build Healthier Communities — And a Career You’ll Be Proud Of

Imagine bringing your clinical skills to a place where you’re trusted, supported, and empowered to make a real difference. At Healthy Connections, Family Nurse Practitioners aren’t just healthcare providers — they are essential partners in strengthening the communities we serve across Arkansas.

If you’re passionate about delivering excellent primary care and ready to be part of something bigger, this is your opportunity.

About Healthy Connections

Healthy Connections, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center that has been caring for Arkansas communities for more than 25 years. Our mission is built on three pillars: Community, Compassion, and Excellence.

We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services to patients of all ages, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. At Healthy Connections, you’ll work in a patient-centered environment that empowers you to provide high-quality care, form meaningful relationships, and see the long-term impact of your work.

We currently have full-time Family Nurse Practitioner opportunities available at our Haskell clinic.

Meet the Role

As a Family Nurse Practitioner (APRN) at Healthy Connections, you will deliver primary care that focuses on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management across the lifespan. You’ll diagnose, treat, educate, and advocate—bringing your full clinical skills and compassion to every patient encounter.

You’ll be part of a collaborative care team where your input matters and your growth is supported. You’ll also enjoy a consistent full-time schedule (40 hours/week), typically operating on a four-day workweek that prioritizes your work-life balance.

Where You’ll Make an Impact
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including medical, social, and family histories
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnose acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments based on patient needs
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and wellness strategies
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging
  • Refer patients to specialists and coordinate comprehensive care when necessary
  • Participate in Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and quality improvement programs
  • Support Healthy Connections’ broader mission to expand access to high-quality healthcare
  • Become certified in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and HIV care (if not already certified)
Student Loan Repayment Opportunity

Healthy Connections is a designated National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site, making full-time providers eligible for student loan repayment assistance. If you qualify, you can significantly reduce or eliminate your student loan debt while delivering care that truly matters to the communities who need it most.

What You’ll Bring
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Arkansas APRN licensure in good standing
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • DEA licensure (or willingness to obtain)
  • CPR and ACLS training within 9 months of employment
  • Willingness to become certified in MAT and HIV care (training provided)
  • Strong clinical knowledge combined with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build strong patient relationships focused on trust, respect, and health education
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office tools
Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Four-day workweek (40 hours) for true work-life balance
  • Competitive salary and a strong benefits package
