Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and safety-conscious Floor Care
Specialist to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be directly responsible for
the maintenance, restoration, and daily upkeep of our extensive polished concrete
floors, epoxy-coated surfaces, and diverse hard surface environments. Our facility
features vast warehouse and distribution spaces with specialized concrete and
resinous finishes, requiring an expert who understands the nuances of heavy-duty
floor care, industrial machinery operation, and surface preservation.
The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on experience in finished concrete
polishing, epoxy floor maintenance and care, precise floor striping, and
comprehensive hard surface upkeep in large-scale commercial or industrial settings.
If you take pride in maintaining pristine, safe, and highly functional industrial flooring,
we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties
• Polished Concrete Maintenance: Operate industrial grinders, burnishers,
and automatic scrubbers to maintain, hone, and polish large expanses of
concrete flooring. Apply appropriate densifiers, sealers, and guards to protect
surfaces from heavy traffic and wear.
• Epoxy Floor Care & Upkeep: Clean, maintain, and protect high-performance
epoxy-coated flooring systems. Prevent chemical degradation, manage
scratch and scuff removal, utilize neutral cleaners formulated for resinous
floors, and coordinate minor surface touch-ups or repairs as needed.
• Floor Striping & Line Marking: Execute precise floor striping, safety zone
marking, and aisle delineation using industrial-grade floor paints and epoxy
striping equipment to ensure OSHA compliance and facility organization.
• Comprehensive Hard Surface Care: Perform routine and restorative
maintenance on various hard surfaces, including VCT (vinyl composition tile),
sealed tile, and industrial coatings. Tasks include stripping, scrubbing,
sealing, buffing, and burnishing.
• Equipment Operation & Upkeep: Daily operation, inspection, and routine
maintenance of heavy industrial floor care machinery, including ride-on
sweepers, walk-behind scrubbers, high-speed burnishers, and scarifiers.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing
appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), properly handling industrial
cleaning chemicals, and ensuring that all walkways and aisles remain hazard-
free during active maintenance operations.
• Defect Reporting & Inspection: Regularly inspect warehouse floors for
cracking, spalling, joint deterioration, coating peeling, or safety hazards,
reporting major issues to facility management for timely remediation.
