Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Desk in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatcher at a financial institution location, you will monitor alarm activity, coordinate responses, and communicate with on-site personnel and emergency services as needed. You will help maintain a professional, welcoming environment while supporting security-related operations through clear communication and accurate reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor incoming calls, alarms, communications systems, and dispatch requests; relay information to appropriate personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and maintaining accurate dispatch logs.
  • Coordinate security-related communications for multiple locations and/or posts, including routine service requests, access-related concerns, and incident notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
