Job description

BallenIsles Country Club, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Golf Course Equipment Operator! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Pay:
$18.00 - 22.00 per hour depending on experience
General Purpose:
The Golf Course Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment and performing golf course conditioning and maintenance functions, including greens, tees, perimeters, bunkers, and fairways. This position also helps ensure that all areas are kept clean and free of grass clippings and debris.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Mows turf areas using various sizes and types of power mowers
  • Operates a towed, gas-powered blower
  • Picks up leaves, trash, and grass clippings, and loads them onto trucks or trailers
  • Performs basic daily equipment maintenance, including checking fluid levels and air pressure, and monitoring equipment for leaks
  • Reports malfunctioning equipment and equipment maintenance needs according to established procedures
  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 50 pounds
  • Works outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including rain, cold, heat, sun, and nighttime conditions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the essential duties of the position, including communicating with English-speaking customers and co-workers, and understanding equipment manuals and safety instructions

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently uses hands and performs repetitive hand movements
  • Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls
  • Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes or pulls up to 100 pounds
  • Regularly works in hot and/or humid conditions and is exposed to outdoor weather conditions
  • May be exposed to chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and other conditions associated with golf course maintenance operations
  • Noise level is generally moderate
