About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing portfolio of properties. In this role, you'll manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities, partner closely with property leadership, and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accountant looking to build strong technical skills while gaining exposure to multi-entity operations and senior finance leadership.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and cash management
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including daily revenue and month-end close entries
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow; prepare funding requests as needed
  • Produce and distribute weekly and monthly financial and operational reports
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, identifying variances and trends
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and file state and local sales tax returns
  • Support annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Partner with General Managers and Regional Controllers to address financial questions and improve processes

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience (general ledger and/or accounts payable)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar accounting systems
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, F&B, or multi-entity accounting environments
