Job description

As a Software Engineer II within Servicing Technology, you'll own full-stack features that power the client-facing and team member-facing servicing applications for millions of Rocket homeowners. Servicing Technology is accelerating through a full-scale System of Record modernization, and engineering velocity is a strategic asset.
This role is for an engineer who wants to own meaningful product outcomes - building across the front end and back end, deploying to production, and iterating based on real usage. You will use AI as a core part of how you design, code, test, debug, and ship software, and you'll begin mentoring earlier-career engineers as you grow.
About the role
  • Own the full lifecycle of full-stack features, from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Build across the front end (Next.js or React with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer) and back end (.NET / C#, NestJS GraphQL).
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to shape the servicing experience end to end.
  • Contribute to decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices.
  • Deploy and operate applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Use AI tools and agentic development workflows to increase engineering speed and improve quality.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.

About you
  • 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
  • Hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework (Next.js or React) and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.
  • Hands-on experience with back-end development in .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS and Amazon EKS / Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
  • Brings a product mindset: curious about user behavior, driven to improve the user experience, and motivated by business impact.
