Full Stack Developer

Teserac, Inc.

Sunnyvale, CA โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

About the Role
Teserac is building neuronโ„ข, a unified AI-native platform for data center observability, intelligence, and workflow automation. neuronโ„ข processes real-time telemetry from thousands of sensors, meters, and control systems across heterogeneous data center environments - giving infrastructure owners and operators the visibility to monitor, analyze, automate, and proactively manage power operations with full situational awareness. An embedded AI teammate serves as every operator's always-on co-pilot: detecting anomalies, correlating events, and surfacing recommendations 24/7.
As a Full Stack Developer, you will build the features and interfaces that data center operators rely on to monitor, analyze, and act on real-time power and operational data. You will work across the entire stack - from real-time dashboards and alerting UIs to backend data pipelines and API integrations.
This is a high-impact role where your code ships to production quickly and directly affects how some of the world's most critical infrastructure is managed. You will work closely with the Principal Software & Architecture Lead, Product, and Solution Engineering in a fast-moving, small-team environment.
We move fast. We avoid bureaucracy. We expect engineers to own outcomes, not tickets.
Why You Would Be a Good Fit
You are a full-stack engineer who takes pride in shipping features that are fast, clean, and production-ready. You're comfortable in unfamiliar territory - whether that's a new protocol, an unfamiliar dataset, or a tight deadline - and you default to ownership rather than waiting for direction. You thrive in fast-moving environments where your work has direct, visible impact.
You likely:
  • Build front-to-back: you can wire a real-time dashboard from WebSocket to pixel without passing the baton.
  • Write clean, tested code and treat code reviews as a team learning opportunity.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity - you can turn a rough product requirement into a well-scoped implementation plan.
  • Have worked with time-series or streaming data and understand the performance implications of large dataset rendering.
  • Learn quickly and enjoy working at the intersection of software, data, and physical systems.

Key Responsibilities
Front-End Development
  • Build and maintain front-end interfaces for neuronโ„ข: real-time dashboards, alerting systems, capacity planning views, and operational workflow UIs.
  • Build UI components and workflows for the AI teammate: interaction panels, recommendation displays, approval workflows, and audit trails.
  • Optimize application performance for real-time data rendering, large dataset visualization, and responsive user experiences across device types.

Back-End Development
  • Develop backend services and APIs that power data ingestion, normalization, and delivery of telemetry from diverse data center sources.
  • Implement integration modules for BMS, EPMS, and third-party monitoring systems using protocols including Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and REST APIs.
  • Design and maintain RESTful APIs with clean contracts and well-documented schemas.

Engineering Quality & Process
  • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Architect and Product to refine requirements and deliver features within sprint cycles.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across the stack and participate in on-call rotations as the platform scales.

Why Teserac
Teserac is AI-native observability and workflow automation purpose-built for mission-critical physical infrastructure. We are not building incremental improvements to legacy tools. We are re-architecting how data centers see, understand, and act on their own operations.
  • Ship features that directly impact how some of the world's most critical AI infrastructure is powered and managed.
  • Small engineering team where every developer has outsized impact and direct visibility into product decisions.
  • Work at the intersection of AI, real-time systems, and physical infrastructure - a rare and technically compelling combination.
  • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity upside; grow with the company from Series A through scale.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
  • Strong front-end skills: React with TypeScript, modern CSS, and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, or similar).
  • Solid backend experience: Node.js/TypeScript or Python; RESTful API design; relational and time-series databases.
  • Experience with real-time data: WebSockets, server-sent events, streaming data, or pub/sub architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IoT platforms, industrial data, or sensor telemetry systems.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, DCIM tools, or building management systems.
  • Experience with industrial protocols: Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, or similar OT/IoT data sources.
  • Experience building observability or monitoring dashboards (Grafana, Datadog-style interfaces).
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, LLM-based workflows) to accelerate engineering velocity while maintaining high standards.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup (Seed through Series B).

Benefits
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Free Food & Snacks
  • Stock Option Plan
