Location: Lincoln, NE | Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Mon-Fri)
Pay Range: $25.00-$42.00/hr (DOE)
Company: Interstate Power Systems | Full-Time
Interstate Power Systems is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our second shift in Lincoln, NE. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Freightliner trucks, Detroit Diesel engines, Allison transmissions, and Cummins products.
What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy-duty systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections
  • Use diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Document repairs and maintain DOT and safety compliance
  • Work independently in a clean, safety-focused shop

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience
  • Experience with Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Allison, and Cummins
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools (DDL, Cummins Insite, Allison DOC)
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • ASE and manufacturer certifications preferred
  • Must provide own basic tools (specialty tools provided)
