The Kitchen Worker is responsible for cleaning the plateware, glassware, cooking equipment and utensils involved with the food production and operation of the restaurant program.   The Kitchen worker is responsible for maintaining standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Possesses the ability to adhere to strict hygiene standards at all times
  • Cleans and maintains the dish room and kitchen areas
  • Friendly and courteous at all times
  • Has and maintains a stable, positive background and is willing to assume responsibility for additional tasking
  • Informs kitchen leadership of inventory/supply needs
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
  • Dispose of kitchen garbage in accordance with casino policies
  • Follow proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Wash, rinse, hand sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces, including countertops, sinks, stoves and floors
  • Ensures the physical condition of the premises is maintained in a safe, healthy manner by performing cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
 
Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Willingness and ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and frequent basis
  • Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position
  • Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
 
Base Pay:
  • Compensation: $15.00–$20.63 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
  • Benefits: Eligible full-time employees may choose from a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Additional benefits include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off, a 401(k) plan with company match, shift differential pay, and discretionary quarterly bonus opportunities.
