Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and an ADON to join our team at VAMC in Wichita, Kansas to work in a full-time capacity. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current state license to practice as an RN 
  • Be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must have two years of experience as an RN and one year of supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities: 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Administrative leadership, recruitment/retention efforts, and compliance of all hospital/facility policies and procedures 
  • The ADON provides supervision to the unit leaders, and is responsible for assisting in disciplinary actions
  • The ADON provides supervision to RNs regarding policies, procedures, and patient care delivery
