Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Crew Scheduler serves as a critical link between flight crews and operational teams, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations. This role is responsible for the daily execution of crew scheduling activities, real-time communication with flight crews, and coordination across departments to ensure the highest level of service is provided to customers while maintaining all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory compliance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assign crew members to aircraft in accordance with company standards, availability, and qualification requirements
• Establish crew pairings based on qualifications, check ride schedules, and operational needs
• Maintain proper crew alignment, including Red Label crew assignments where applicable
• Assign and manage crew duty start and stop times
• Proactively manage future coverage by initiating next-day scheduling activities
• Monitor unassigned crew and resolve coverage gaps to ensure operational continuity
• Oversee crew duty, rest, and flight time limitations to ensure full FAA compliance
• Ensure proper crew release in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and request travel arrangements for crew members related to duty assignments
• Input aircraft exclusions, manage trip locks, and support schedule optimization activities (including circulation lows and trip builds)
• Conduct Daily Release and Last Day Release processes
• Serve as the primary point of contact for flight crews, providing real-time operational support
• Communicate schedule changes, maintenance updates, weather impacts, and crew legality issues
• Monitor and respond to pilot communications via phone, email, and internal systems
• Coordinate with Scheduling, Flight Planning, Maintenance, and other operational teams
• Escalate operational issues and facilitate solutions to maintain safe and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely dissemination of critical information
• Support operational awareness and decision-making through clear, consistent communication
• Deliver professional, service-oriented support while balancing crew needs and operational priorities
• Track crewing metrics and support operational performance standards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a 4-year college; 1-3 years of related experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR Part 91, 121, or 135) preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company-specific systems

SCHEDULE & POSITION EXPECTATIONS
• Our operation is 365/24/7 and candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates
• Fully onsite position and requires in-person attendance at our Global Command Center
• Schedule: Full-time, front or back half of the week including 1 weekend day
• 3 - 14-hour shifts or 4- 11-hour shifts
