Job description

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Responsibilities
  • Works together as a team, cooperating with other employees
  • Participates in all changeovers, knows the responsibilities of their position and completes them
  • Open and remove raw materials from container
  • Feed raw materials into machines or onto conveyors
  • Orders new product and records information on proper forms
  • Rotates through various positions within the department
  • Packages finished product correctly as required by department
  • Assists machine operators on various pieces of equipment
  • Transport materials to/from station
  • Completes all documentation correctly in assigned departments
  • Separate food and garbage waste, cut down cardboard and prepare for recycling, dispose of all waste correctly
  • Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and exhibits a sense of urgency while maintaining excellent productivity goals and quality product
  • Maintains a clean work space

Quality/Food Safety Responsibilities
  • Follows all GMPs, SOPs, use raw materials based on FIFO and follow all food safety guidelines
  • Completes HACCP and prerequisite documentation in a timely manner and follows HACCP plan
  • Inspect product and perform quality checks
  • Follow production guidelines for food safety

Safety Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
  • Just be at least 18 years or older
  • Experience working in manufacturing facility is desired
  • Food manufacturing experience desired
  • Ability to pay attention to detail

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to understand written or spoken English instructions
  • Ability to speak and write in English
  • Ability to work with pork, dairy, soy, wheat, egg, shellfish, nut products, and fish
  • Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
  • Organization and time management skills required
  • Technical/mechanical skills desired
