THE WORK Direct daily activities of the quality team (assignments, coaching, performance reviews).

Foster a culture of quality, safety, and accountability. Mentor staff on problem solving and root cause analysis techniques. Oversee incoming, in process, and final inspections using calibrated equipment.

Ensure test plans, work instructions, and inspection criteria are current and adhered to. Review and approve non conformance reports (NCRs) and disposition decisions. Monitor adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and other pertinent standards.

Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g., NIST, DoD). Maintain traceability records, configuration management, and document control. Lead corrective and preventive action activities; drive root cause investigations

Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste and improve yield. Track key quality metrics (PPM, scrap rate, on time delivery) and report trends to senior management. Interface with customers on quality issues, product acceptance, and warranty claims.

Evaluate supplier quality performance; participate in supplier audits and corrective action implementation. Develop and deliver training programs on inspection techniques, quality tools, and regulatory requirements. Ensure team maintains required certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ)

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education. Supervisory or lead experience. Ability to work on 1st shift Desired Skills Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field) Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and DoD specifications Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and influence without direct authority

Strong coaching, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Skilled in root cause analysis methods (5Why, Fishbone, FMEA). Ability to interpret data, generate actionable insights, and present findings to senior leadership.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
