What You'll Do:

  • Inspect and test fire alarms, suppression systems, and extinguishers across your assigned territory

  • Schedule and coordinate inspection visits with customers and local fire departments

  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues, making repairs or referring to our service team as needed

  • Clearly communicate inspection results and recommendations to customers

  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with NFPA standards

  • Adhere to all company and industry safety policies

  • Be ready to pitch in with other duties as needed-teamwork is everything here

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Preferred: experience with fire alarms, security systems, or low-voltage installations

  • Preferred: understanding of wiring, networking, or reading blueprints

  • Bonus if you have industry certifications (NICET, ESA, manufacturer training)

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Work Conditions:

  • Field-based position: you'll be traveling to customer sites regularly

  • May involve climbing stairs, walking long distances, and working outdoors

  • Flexibility for occasional overtime, evening, or weekend shifts

  • Occasional neighbor island travel with provided lodging and per diem

Why Work with Alert Alarm?

  • Competitive Pay: Starting at $25+/hour depending on experience and certifications

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401K and short-term disability insurance

  • Financial Security: 401(k) retirement savings with company match

  • Time to Recharge: Paid time off and paid holidays

  • Training & Growth: Ongoing learning opportunities and clear paths for advancement

  • Unique Perks: Yes, we even offer pet insurance

  • Supportive Culture: Join a team that values your well-being and supports your success
