Job description

JMG Financial Group, Ltd. is one of the largest independently owned fee-based wealth management firms in the Midwest. JMG provides wealth management services to corporate executives and high net worth individuals. Investment News recently announced JMG as Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors for 2021-2025.
JMG is in search of a full-time Financial Advisor who can service clients in Illinois, specifically in the Downers Grove area. As JMG continues to expand their geographic footprint, this is a great business opportunity for an advisor who might be looking to join a fee-only planning firm with an established reputation and infrastructure.
The Financial Advisor must have knowledge in all areas of comprehensive financial planning and at least 5 years of client facing experience. Advisors assess and manage the financial needs of individuals and help them with decisions on, but not limited to, employer benefits, investments, income tax, retirement planning, charitable giving, estate planning, and insurance. Advisors help clients plan for short- and long-term goals to achieve their personal financial objectives. Advisors will have supervisory responsibilities for a support team.
Qualifications Required:
  • CFP® designation (Certified Financial Planner)
  • CFA® and/or CPA designations acceptable
  • Extensive knowledge of finance, income taxes, investments, asset allocation and estate planning concepts
  • Proficient in basic computer skills especially Microsoft Office
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business
Compensation: Exempt position, eligible for bonuses and full benefits including health, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, 401(k), and ownership potential. This is not a sales position.
