Can I become a full time financial advisor at 40?

Full-time financial advisors can start at any age, including 40, as the profession values experience, interpersonal skills, and relevant certifications like the Series 7 and Series 66. Many successful advisors begin their careers later in life, leveraging their prior work experience and earning necessary licenses to build a client base.

Can I become a full time financial advisor while working full time?

Full time financial advisors often start part-time to build their client base and gain experience before transitioning to full-time work. Balancing a full-time job with a financial advising career requires strong time management, relevant certifications like the Series 7 and 66, and the ability to meet clients' scheduling needs. Many advisors work evenings or weekends to accommodate clients while maintaining their primary employment.
