Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Field Inspector in Edinburg, TX area. This is a full-time contract Field Based assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Field Inspector As a Field Inspector, you will provide quality assurance and quality control oversight for a biosafety facility construction project. You will conduct daily inspections of construction activities, verify compliance with specifications and federal construction standards, and ensure all work meets design requirements. This role requires a professional with federal construction experience and proven background in civil and structural construction inspection who can independently manage site inspections and communicate findings to project teams.

As a Field Inspector YOU will: Conduct daily inspections of civil and structural construction activities and materials Verify compliance with project specifications and federal construction standards Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on all construction work Inspect structural elements, concrete work, foundations, and civil construction components Verify proper material installation, workmanship, and adherence to specifications Perform concrete testing procedures including slump testing, air testing, and quality verification Inspect steel structure installation and assembly Monitor compaction techniques and soil conditions throughout construction phases Prepare daily or weekly inspection reports and progress documentation Document inspection findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions with photographic evidence Communicate inspection results and issues to project management and contractors Coordinate with engineers and project managers on quality concerns Ensure compliance with safety regulations and biosafety facility requirements Maintain detailed records and comprehensive documentation Work independently at the job site YOU are the ideal Field Inspector candidate if you have: Minimum 5+ years of federal construction experience Proven background in civil and structural construction inspection Experience inspecting concrete work, steel structures, and site grading Knowledge of construction specifications, building codes, and quality standards Demonstrated experience with quality assurance and quality control oversight Ability to work independently and manage site inspections Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Physical ability to traverse construction sites Experience with biosafety or laboratory facility construction (preferred) It's a BONUS if you have: Experience with federal compliance requirements (GSA, DOD, etc.) Biosafety Level (BSL) facility construction knowledge OSHA certification or construction safety training Experience with concrete testing procedures and standards Previous experience with government or federal projects Knowledge of laboratory or institutional facility standards Advanced documentation and reporting skills Experience with construction management software Background in structural steel inspection Experience with site grading and soil condition verification About Our CLIENT Our client is an engineering consulting firm with over a century of success in the Water Market.
