This is a full-time, on-site position that requires the employee to work directly from our premises, ensuring hands-on involvement with the intricate process of preparing and dispatching our high-quality products.

The Dental Lab Shipping Packer is a key component in maintaining the integrity and punctuality of our product delivery system. This role involves meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to handling delicate dental prosthetics, ensuring they reach our clients in pristine condition. The successful candidate will find themselves at the heart of our operations, directly impacting our ability to service clients efficiently and effectively. Daily responsibilities extend beyond mere packing, encompassing the overall preparation and maintenance of shipping standards that uphold the prestige of Drake Precision Dental Laboratory.

• Inspect products for defects and ensure the quality of all items prior to packing.
• Utilize proper packaging materials and techniques to safeguard products during transit.
• Coordinate with the dental technicians to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of dental prosthetics.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation and labels, utilizing FedEx/UPS software for label creation.
• Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies to prevent any delays or shortages.
• Follow standard operating procedures for disinfection and proper handling of incoming dental impressions.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization within the shipping area to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
• Report any shipment discrepancies or damages to the supervisor immediately.
• Participate in routine inventory checks and assist in stock audits.
• Stay updated with the latest in packaging technology and methods relevant to dental prosthetics.
• Collaborate with courier services to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
• Participate in training and development sessions to improve job performance and understanding of industry standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Previous experience in a shipping or packing role, preferably in a medical or dental laboratory setting.
• Competency in using shipping and logistics software systems, including FedEx and UPS.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the capability to identify product defects.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively coordinate with team members and manage documentation.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle lifting of packages up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrable track record of punctuality and reliability.
