Job Description FedEx BC / Operations Manager $90,000-$110,000/year | Broomfield, CO | Full-Time Bright Flag, on behalf of Front Range Trucking Corp., is seeking an experienced FedEx BC (Operations Manager) to lead daily delivery operations out of our Broomfield, CO terminal. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing drivers, maintaining route coverage, ensuring safety and compliance, coordinating equipment, and working directly with FedEx Ground to keep daily operations running efficiently. The ideal candidate is an experienced transportation or logistics leader with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, confidence, adaptability, and an ownership mentality

Compensation & Benefits $90,000-$110,000 annual salary, based on experience Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical insurance Dental insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Required DOT physical and drug testing paid for by FedEx Schedule & Location Full-time, 5-6 days per week 1-2 days off per week Operation runs 7 days a week Typical dispatch time: 7:00-7:30 AM Delivery routes typically average 8-9 hours On-call availability approximately 5 days per week for operational emergencies Long days and occasional weekend work are required Some schedule flexibility may be available based on operational needs Terminal: 12405 W 112th St, Broomfield, CO 80127 Please note: This is not a traditional Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM position. This role requires a leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment and being available when operational needs arise. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and hold a team of delivery drivers accountable to company and FedEx standards Ensure all daily P&D routes are staffed and operating efficiently Monitor daily service performance, driver accountability, and route productivity Communicate with drivers and FedEx Ground staff throughout the day Step in to drive delivery routes when operationally necessary Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new drivers Maintain and optimize delivery routes using the DRO (Dynamic Route Optimization) system Track and submit driver timesheets for payroll Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime Ensure drivers comply with required paperwork, Hours of Service (HOS), and Pre-Trip/Post-Trip inspections Promote a strong safety culture and ensure drivers complete required safety training Monitor equipment readiness and address operational issues quickly Help ensure routes are productive and generating sufficient revenue Maintain clear and consistent communication with FedEx Ground management Qualifications Required: 3-5+ years of transportation, logistics, fleet, or operations management experience Previous experience leading and managing drivers or a transportation team Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong work ethic and ownership mentality Ability to adapt and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with routing, safety, and transportation software Must be 21+ years of age for insurance purposes Valid driver's license and ability to operate a straight truck Ability to successfully complete a background check Ability to successfully complete a required drug test and DOT physical Ability and willingness to operate a P-1000+ size vehicle / large step van and safely deliver packages when needed Preferred: Previous FedEx Ground experience Experience with UPS, Amazon, or other logistics/delivery companies Experience with DRO / Dynamic Route Optimization Fleet maintenance or mechanical knowledge Military leadership or operations experience Candidates with military backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
