Ability to Commute throughout the Clearwater area.
Job Purpose:
To execute the plan of care provided by the Physical Therapists on the patient with the result of a satisfied, knowledgeable, functioning and independent patient, who is referring others to our clinic.
Essential Responsibilities are to:
- Ensure patients receive accurate and effective applied physical therapy interventions with improved function and mobility.
- Ensure patients are educated about their body, applying what they are learning, in agreement with their treatment plan, happy with their progress and referring others.
Duties will include:
Delivery functions:
· Performs physical therapy treatment so patients make progress on plan of care.
· Educate patients on how the body should function, the impact of their injury and responsibility to participate in their physical therapy services.
· Timely and accurate patient documentation completed per policy.
· Timely and effective communication to the Physical Therapist for needed changes in plan of care and/or discharge planning.
· Active participation in weekly patient conferences.
· Obtains referrals from friends and family.
· Liaise with FDR for patient needs and any administrative help.
· Liaise with FDR to ensures all patients are rescheduled for proper patient care.
· Responsible to maintain the hygiene and cleanliness standards of all patient areas.
· Monitor the need for repairs and report to Physical Therapist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.
· Minimum of 1 year experience or have recently graduated.
· Must be dependable, highly organized, systematic, and an excellent ability to multi-task.
· Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with accuracy and properly prioritize.
· Certified in CPR.
Language Skills:
Must speak English. Any other language is a plus. Ability to teach others exercises and proper form. Must have excellent interactive communication skills, making patients feel comfortable and at-ease.
