Job description

CONTENT & COMMUNITY LEAD
Sherwood, OR • Full-time, On-Site • Off-Road & Overland
Build the content and community engine behind a growing off-road and overland brand.
This is a builder's role. Not just content - systems, community, customer trust, dealer support, and the way Ironman 4x4 shows up across North America.
We're not looking for someone to post. We're looking for someone who turns product truth, customer questions, dealer feedback, installs, trips, reviews, and real-world use into content that drives revenue, grows the right audience, and strengthens the brand.
THE ROLE
You'll own the day-to-day content and community rhythm for Ironman 4x4 North America: the content calendar, community engagement, customer proof, dealer support, the UGC pipeline, creator collaborations, and the weekly learning loop.
You'll work across product, ecommerce, sales, creative, and leadership to turn business priorities into content that's useful, accurate, and engaging.
This is a hands-on lead role. You build the engine - you don't manage from above it.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  • The content calendar and weekly publishing rhythm
  • Turning customer questions, objections, installs, trips, reviews, and dealer feedback into content
  • Technical accuracy, in coordination with product experts
  • Content that supports product pages, email/SMS, campaigns, and conversion paths
  • Daily community engagement - comments, DMs, sentiment, questions, feedback
  • Monthly dealer content packs and campaign-specific assets
  • The UGC and customer-proof pipeline: sourcing, permissions, deployment
  • Creator, influencer, and brand collaborations, plus podcast and stage follow-up
  • AI and modern tooling to move faster: briefs, transcripts, captions, variants, reporting
  • A simple weekly scorecard and learning loop

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS
  • A reliable weekly content calendar running
  • A clear process for validating ideas before capture and edit
  • A daily community engagement rhythm
  • The first monthly dealer content pack shipped
  • A customer-proof / UGC pipeline underway
  • A working rhythm with product, ecommerce, sales, creative, and leadership
  • Baseline reporting: audience quality, engagement, sentiment, consistency, organic traffic, conversion support
  • A system for turning one source into multiple useful assets

HOW WE MEASURE IT
We care less about vanity metrics and more about whether content helps the customer and the business: qualified audience growth, useful engagement, positive sentiment, questions answered well, dealers equipped, and consistent publishing. Views matter - but views alone aren't the scoreboard.
OUR VALUES
INTEGRITY We do what we say. We make accurate claims and protect customer trust. If we don't know something, we find the answer instead of guessing.
GRIT This is a builder role. Some days are messy and priorities shift. We stay steady and keep moving.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Better hooks, better education, better dealer support, better systems. The work can always get better.
SERVICE Content serves the customer, not just the algorithm - and connects product, sales, ecommerce, dealers, and creative.
EXECUTION Ideas matter, execution wins. We need someone who ships, learns, and keeps the rhythm moving.
OWNERSHIP Take responsibility for the system, not just the task. If it's unclear, clarify it. If it's broken, surface it. If it can be better, help make it better.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU
  • Have 3-6 years in content, social, community, brand, ecommerce, creator, automotive, outdoor, or enthusiast marketing
  • See content as a business engine, not a publishing function
  • Love the outdoors, vehicles, gear, and enthusiast communities - or are genuinely hungry to learn
  • Can turn product information into useful, engaging content
  • Are organized enough to run a calendar without becoming a calendar clerk
  • Use customer questions, reviews, DMs, and sales feedback as content inputs
  • Can work with a shooter/editor, product experts, ecommerce, and sales without dropping details
  • Are comfortable using AI and modern tools to move faster
  • Build systems, not just one-off posts
  • Take direct feedback and use it to sharpen the work

THIS ISN'T THE ROLE IF YOU
  • Only want to manage social posts
  • Want pure strategy without hands-on execution
  • Need every idea handed to you before you move
  • Measure success only by views, likes, or followers
  • Don't enjoy the outdoors, vehicles, gear, or enthusiast communities
  • Prefer polished brand content over useful customer education
  • Aren't interested in AI, tools, and operating systems
  • Struggle with ownership, follow-through, or direct communication

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A builder. Someone who sees a comment thread, a dealer objection, a product feature, or a customer install and knows there's a story there. Someone who can take one shoot and create a dozen useful assets. Someone who gets that a strong content engine is part creative, part community, part product education, part ecommerce support, and part operating discipline - with the taste, grit, and curiosity to pull it together.
HOW TO APPLY
Send us:
  • A short note on why this role fits you
  • Your resume
  • 3-5 examples of content, campaigns, or community work you've helped create
  • One example of how you turned customer insight, performance data, or feedback into better content
  • Optional but encouraged: pick one Ironman 4x4 product or category and tell us the first content idea you'd test
  • Salary plus ability to earn 25% in bonus

Ironman 4x4 is growing in North America.
This role shapes how the brand shows up, how customers learn, how dealers get supported, and how the community gets stronger.
If you love the outdoors and love to build, we want to hear from you.
