What is full time excavation?

Full time excavation jobs involve operating heavy machinery and equipment to dig, move, and remove soil, rock, and other materials at construction sites or for various earth-moving projects. These roles typically require working 40 hours per week and may include tasks such as trenching for utilities, site preparation, grading, and demolition. Workers in excavation may be responsible for maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and collaborating with other construction professionals. Experience with equipment like excavators, backhoes, and loaders is often required, along with knowledge of site plans and regulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time excavation worker?
