Job Description

Allied Universal Event Services ® is hiring a Event Security Specialist based onsite in San Francisco, CA. This specialized position will be embedded as part of the Client team while being supported by Allied Universal Event Services. The ESO will have responsibilities for event risk assessment, planning and developing foundational SOP documentation, assist in procuring any security services according to event needs, and oversee the security operations for events at an assigned client location. This role involves helping with event security planning, coordination, and execution to ensure the safety and security of company events. The ESO must be sensitive to the client’s cultural influences and corporate standards while maintaining efficiencies of operation.

The pay rate for this role is $115,000 salary per year

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate in the security planning process for company events.
  • Review, update, and create foundational processes and SOP documentation.
  • Conduct event risk assessments and develop appropriate security protocols to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in procuring security services based on event requirements.
  • Create and implement metrics to measure operational performance.
  • Utilize metrics to support budgeting and planning initiatives.
  • Develop models demonstrating consistency in service delivery and performance.
  • Serve as quality control for permanent and temporary event security personnel.
  • Understand, leverage, and collaborate with other client security teams.
  • Identify and engage internal business partners to maximize security support and align security strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement directives and procedures supporting client initiatives and priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong cultural awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Develop, implement, and revise standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, business leaders, and community partners.
  • Oversee, coordinate, consult on, and execute event security plans, including project budgeting and invoicing.
  • Be capable of supporting the team in any operational capacity.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain situational awareness regarding incidents that may impact the client.
  • Coordinate security efforts with private security providers, venues, and local, regional, and national law enforcement agencies.
  • Manage strategic sourcing, vendor identification, and vendor relationships.
  • Leverage Allied Universal's portfolio of services as appropriate.
  • Proactively identify risks and establish mitigation strategies.
  • Support business continuity and emergency management efforts related to regional events.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence expectations and effectively resolve conflict at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with multiple security teams.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Budget planning experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, sometimes with little notice.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Adaptability and effectiveness in high-pressure or unexpected situations.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn client communication platforms and tools
